Gisèle McDiarmid RN, HCA-RHC
Registered Health Coach
Certified Fibromyalgia Coach®

Gisèle McDiarmid is a seasoned health professional who has dedicated her life to the service of others. With more than 30 years of combined professional education, as well as both career and personal experience, she brings tremendous value to every coaching session. Her clients feel well-supported and they see results working with Gisèle.
Gisèle worked as a Registered Nurse in Canada and the USA specializing in Neurology, as well as an Assistant Nurse-Manager and Acting Nurse-Manager in Medicine. She worked at the Montréal General Hospital, in Québec, and at the Shepherd Center for Brain and Spinal Cord Injuries in Atlanta, Georgia. She then took some time off to raise four wonderful children alongside her husband, Scott, while they also cared for their aging mothers. While she wished to return to Nursing, she also wanted to expand her approach. Gisèle defines 'holistic' as seeing the 'whole person' with respect and dignity, caring for the body and mind, inside and out, as part of a family and community, with their own hopes, dreams, talents, and desires for fulfillment, self-competence, and self-actualization. In her new pursuit of this expanded approach to care, she first achieved a Bachelor's Degree in Psychology (Cum Laude), followed by an ICF*-recognized dual professional coaching certification in health and life coaching.
Following her own diagnoses of Fibromyalgia, Multiple Chemical Sensitivities (MCS), and Myalgic Encephalomyelitis/Chronic Fatigue Syndrome (ME/CFS), Gisèle then received certification as an IFCI** Certified Fibromyalgia Advisor®. Impressed with how well these new self-management tools helped improve her fibromyalgia symptoms, she became passionate to share this knowledge with others. So she became a Certified Fibromyalgia Coach®, under the private mentorship of Tami Stackelhouse, CEO and Master Educator at the International Fibromyalgia Coaching Institute (IFCI), podcaster, three times best-selling author, and Executive Producer for the groundbreaking 2023 documentary film, Invisible. Wanting to also learn for herself and then share proven tools for living with MCS and ME/CFS, Gisèle pursued her studies in those areas as well. These self-management tools remarkably helped to further improve her symptoms and overall sense of wellbeing. For the first time in 25 years, she was finally feeling like herself again! In 2023, she became a Registered Health Coach with the Health Coach Alliance and she also received certification in holistic nutrition coaching.
In her holistic coaching program, Gisèle shares with her clients her
knowledge in Nursing, psychology, life and health coaching, as well as self-management methods for fibromyalgia, MCS, and ME/CFS, Long-Covid, and holistic nutrition, along with first-hand experience living with these chronic illnesses.
Gisèle understands the isolation, overwhelm, and grief these chronic
illnesses bring with them. For her clients, she is a role model and beacon of light for having recovered her health and for her clear passion in helping others achieve the same freedom for themselves. With deep
compassion, she gently and expertly accompanies and guides her clients on their own transformative journeys, find their inner strength and learn the tools needed to finally take control of their health and live the lives they've been dreaming of!
